ShopClock Can Authenticate Employees by Password or a Finger Print Reader
Passwords
The passwords are assigned by the Administrator, but can be changed by the employees. The administrator can always edit the passwords. We suggest that you start with something really simple like the employees initials.
Although passwords prevent a lot of accidental clock errors, they won't stop buddy punching, so if buddy punching is an issue you should use the finger print scanner to verify the employee's identity.
Using a finger Print Reader
When finger prints are used to verify the employee's identity, the employee clicks on his/her name and then touches a finger print scanner.
Finger Print Enrollment Enrollment is the process of entering or registering the finger prints (two good examples of the same finger are required) that will be used to verify the employee's identity.

Installing the SecuGen Finger Print Reader
Download one of the Legacy Secugen drivers below. Besure to choose the correct version (32 or 64 bit) for your computer. It works best if you install the legacy drivers before pluging in the finger print reader for the first time.
Download 32 bit drivers (sgdrinstallv71bit32.zip)
Download 64 bit drivers (sgdrinstallv71bit64.zip)
- Open the zip file and run the SecuGen USB Driver installation.msi
- Plug in the finger print reader
- Open Device Manager/ Biometric Devices /SecuGen SDU03M USB FDR and select the driver tab. If the driver is NOT version 2.8.1.1, Uninstall the device with the Delete the driver software for this device option checked.
- Unplug the finger print reader. Wait a bit and then plug it back in.
