How to connect ShopClock to a different server

This is how to "re-point" ShopClock to the new server when it wants to connect to the old server.

How to Make a ShopClock Client Look for a New Server

 

If ShopClock is running ...

Start ShopClock and click on the Gold Padlock open the Admin window.

Click on tab 14: Network Setup

Click on the Use Network Server button

ConfigureTheDatabase

Click on the Refresh Server list and select the server or enter the server name or IP address

Listing ShopClock servers

Click on OK connect to the selected server.

If ShopClock won't run (it exits after saying it can't connect to the old server) ...

ShopClock can be reset by starting it from the windows run command with a Reset argument.

Bring up the run command by holding down the "Windows" or "Flag" key while tapping the letter r and paste in one of the following commands

"C:\Program Files (x86)\ShopClock4\ShopClock.exe" Reset

        "C:\Program Files (x86)\ShopClock4\ShopClock.exe" local

"C:\Program Files (x86)\ShopClockPlus\ShopClockPlus.exe" Reset

       "C:\Program Files (x86)\ShopClockPlus\ShopClockPlus.exe" local
